Am I the only one who thinks Lair doesn't really look as stunning as it should be looking according to promises what PS3 can do and fanboy talk?
Anyhow.. I guess the engine is good, but horrible texture work in some locations, tiled sea is a big no no no..
Shaders gives me chill also. There are already games in PS3 that looks better.
But I guess there are some visually stunning moments in motion. These screens are not bad visually, but what comes to graphi...
This is not good if PS3 keeps getting ports, but sadly that is prolly how it is going to be unless devs forget multiplatforms.
Why PS3 gets ports is because PC/360 are easier to dev to and currently gives the biggest sales to any multiplatform game. Therefore PS3 comes always last, devs needs extra time and the game does not sell as much due the lower user base.
Only some bigger devs can afford to make multiplatform titles from scratch to PS3 and there are not that many....

What ever the writer says, it is just his opinion. I love the demo, it is arcade driving indeed but makes the gameplay fast and fun. Game looks stunning as hell and is damn fun to play.. nitpickers like the writer should avoid games like this and enjoy some simulators instead. Colin McRae2 was great but so is DiRT. Must buy for me.
It is good to have Forza2 and DiRT because they're totally different games what comes to driving/racing mood.
PS3 is far from being dead even though some of us might hope so. I personally think PS3 is just having extremely annoying launch hangover.
Hope is always good, but articles like these kinda try to say GAME OVER even though the game is still going on. Of course the waiting is damn boring, but hey "this is living", not always so glorious.
Anyhow, all this sh!t is Sony's own fault, totally.

EDIT: @snoop, well yes they would loose more money per every console sold. Hmmm.. I personally would not buy PS3 with its current price unless they really really can show a game that is not even nearly doable with 360. When it happens (if ever) it might just be too late.

Sony is shooting its own leg with PS3 unless they drop down the price now and actually get a lot more users --> better game sales --> more devs interested --->happy happy joy with PS3... but nah, Sony does not seems to care, they blindly believe people would actually buy it with ...

PS3 wants to be a good console, but fails in it (at least for now).
There are some nice games coming for it, but not nearly enough to make people to pay the current price of it...and most people are after gaming, not blu-ray movies. Why did Sony even advertise the PS3 with a slogan "it plays games too"..yeah barely, there hardly is any. Why?.. *shrugs*... and that slogan makes it feel games comes second which seems to be true though...hmm.

They can't kill PS3 with just Halo3.. or with anything really.
PS3 could be really good system but I hate this bloody waiting and speculating IF it can do miracles compared to 360. All this "just wait and see, just wait and see" is getting really boring.
Anyhow, HALO3 will be one of the biggest events in gaming history, it surely will turn the heads towards 360. People who are not really interested about gaming consoles but are maybe thinking of getting one som...
I wonder if people turn their DVD players / stereos 90 degrees and back while playing music or movies. Only fool would move console when disc is inside/running, no wonder they get scratches. Microsoft would have stated Xbox360 is "handheld/mobile" if you are allowed to move the console while disc is inside.
